Well...I hate to admit it as a heterosexual male, but Sex and the City has never failed to amuse me. After purchasing the series for my wife last year, I also apparently agreed to watch every episode, and the first movie over the next eight weeks. And truth be told, it pretty much rocked. At times I was like, "no he didn't," "girlfriend, what is she wearing?" No I didn't actually do that, but I did find myself laughing and having a good time.
That is exactly how I felt while watching this worthy sequel. The movie clocks in at about two and a half hours. One indication of a good movie, or at least an entertaining movie is that you aren't checking your watch to see how long you've been watching. I didn't check once.
To put it bluntly, the film gives you more of what made the series great: contrived drama, nice jokes and four characters that really get into your head and make themselves comfortable.
We saw the movie with another couple, they seemed to share our feelings as well. A welcome appearance from Aiden really fills the cast out nicely. But, as my friend put it, "the nude male ass to boob ratio is way off, hell they could have at least showed Aiden's butt." Of course he was kidding, but I am not...
The Verdict is: If you liked Sex and the City the t.v. show, and if you liked the first movie, you won't be disappointed.
